A Taste of EP. 103…
“Really, the only thing that I desire is the trust that I will have everything I need to meet the next moment—to meet the next step. And from that place, I don’t need to know.” - Noah Souder-Russo

Whether we accept it or not, we are born and made through an endless dance with the Unknown.
Uncertainty—or unknowing—is a primal fear many of us carry, often rooted in our fear of mortality and the mysteries that stretch beyond it. Contemporary Western culture amplifies this fear, offering endless promises of certainty that have little grounding in reality. This cultural conditioning can become a barrier, keeping us from playing in the fertile potentiality of the Unknown and rooting us instead in false beliefs that feel safer than vulnerability. Yet, there is freedom in accepting that we can never truly know all there is to know.
To walk the Heart's path is to build a refuge in the Unknown. As a pathless path—whose destination is the journey itself—the Heart’s way invites us to surrender falsehoods and embrace the depths of Truth that always lie beyond our knowing.
Episode Summary
In this episode of Sacred Pathways: Stories & Wisdom from Walking the Heart's Way, I share a conversation with my dear friend and co-journer, Noah Souder-Russo, whose Heart path has led him to surrender to the wisdom seeded in Unknowing.
Noah and I chose to embody trust by arriving to this conversation without a fixed plan, letting what needed to unfold guide us. What emerged felt like magic: a deeply intimate exchange, rich with seeds of comfort and insight. Our conversation even sparked a creative collaboration, which you'll hear more about in Time.
We explore how unknowing can deepen intimacy with Life and help us dance with the grand mystery of the Divine. Noah shares his connection with the Dark Feminine and insights from Human Design that offer grounding as we navigate collective transitions (into what? We both know and don’t know). We close the episode by reflecting on our evolving relationships with the Unknown, the practices that help us stay present, and with a heartfelt prayer from Noah—a moment that moved me to tears.
What I cherish most about this episode, and my friendship with Noah, is the deep peace and comfort it brings. Noah has a gift for sharing with such openness and love that I trust will reach deeply into the hearts of those who listen. One friend described that this conversation felt like she was "cozying up with good friends," finding comfort in what is often an uncomfortable experience. And I’ve learned that the Unknown doesn’t always have to feel unsettling.
But when it does, I hope this episode offers you a sense of belonging in the shared experience of uncertainty.
We are all walking into the vast field of unknowing- perhaps for eternity- together.
How Do You Dance with the Unknown?
Next Thursday, I’ll share a personal musing I wrote last October about my own dance with the Unknown, alongside poetic offerings that help me experience the Unknown as a dance with God. Interestingly, it was writing that post that inspired me to start this podcast.
Until then, I invite you to share in the comments: How do you dance with the Unknown? What stirs in you when you lean into Her wisdom?
May the Unknown expand our paths into Truths beyond knowing, but never beyond experiencing and expressing. 🙏🏽
